‘Love and Kwacha’ sees Shaimi talking about how he’s loved and had been faithful to this one girl, ignoring all fears surrounding his commitment. Unfortunately, he gets betrayed despite his many sacrifices. Muanda emphasizes on how she can live without him – money makes the world go round and as such, she’d do what she’s got to do. Shaimi therefore makes it a point to leave love behind and go chase paper instead.
Basically, this song talks about how many relationships are built on love from the start, yet end up being the same thing – a mess; 50% Love, 50% Kwacha. Shiami’s delivery, style, wordplay, punchlines and lyrical ability were impeccable on this one, something Ghanaians would definitely love. Muanda went all in, giving us a soothing vocal and an amazing delivery.
This piece is amazing! Personally I’m crazy about ‘Love and Kwacha’. The song was produced/mixed and mastered by producer extraordinaire, Liquid Beatz.
Ghana better watch out for S.H.A…. Tu! Tu!! Tu!!!
